During the Deep Freeze Festival in Edmonton, there are lots of things to do – but one of our favourite things to watch are the deep freezer races. Teams of five race deep freezers across the finish lines, with three people on the inside and two pushers.
Teams can dress up in team wear (and win a prize for best dressed) and have fun in the festival favourite that’s bound to get you excited. See? Fastest freezers can win – but some great uniforms can also catch you some swag.
When: Races take place between noon and two on January 9th and January 10th, during the Deep Freeze Festival (which also has a lot of cool other activities to take part in while you’re there)
