Where to Visit with Santa For Free in Edmonton

I read somewhere yesterday that it was 40-something days until Christmas and it had me scrambling. Annually, I try and finish all of the shopping and ‘errands’ that we’ve got to do, before December 1 so we can spend the time enjoying each other, the holiday season, and events – without having to run around the city. Getting those Santa Claus visits started early – as the big guy arrives to some of the local malls, as early as this weekend, can help to kick start that!

Here’s where to visit Santa for free, in Edmonton: 

Southgate Centre
Arrives: November 12, 2016
Santa arrives at Southgate Centre with a fun celebration, where the first 200 families will get free photos with Santa and goodies.

West Edmonton Mall
Arrives: November 12, 2016
Santa Claus arrives at West Edmonton Mall this weekend, and there’s a fun and free skate with Santa at the Ice Palace to celebrate. Photos can be booked by appointment, to avoid the line.

Kingsway Mall
Arrives: November 19, 2016
Santa arrives at Kingsway Mall for a family fun celebration to launch the visits. Families can enter to win prizes, including the chance to turn on the big switch for the giant Christmas tree.

St. Albert Centre
Arrives: November 19, 2016
From children’s workshops, and the chance to visit with the big guy himself (even a nap time scheduled!) there’s plenty of fun for kids during the kick off event when Santa arrives.

Sherwood Park Mall 
Arrives: November 19, 2016
To celebrate Santa Claus’s arrival at Sherwood Park Mall, children can take place in a fun parade and the first 100 families will receive free photos with Santa Claus. Families can enjoy free tea and hot chocolate on the arrival day.

Londonderry Mall
Arrival: November 20, 2016
Santa Claus arrives at Londonderry Mall this year with a brunch to celebrate the kick off to the visits with him. Tickets are available for the brunch, including family fun like glitter tattoos and more, with a donation to the Stollery Children’s Hospital.

Mill Woods Town Centre
Arrives: November 26, 2016
Santa will be arriving at Mill Woods Town Centre with a parade to celebrate and families can come and take part in the fun!

Greenland Country Christmas
Visits: December 4, 1-4
Come to Greenland Garden centre and experience the Christmas magic of the entire greenhouse being decorated for the holiday. Bring your own camera and get a free photo with Santa, while taking part in the fun activities for families.
