We welcome Edmonton Public Library and Weasel Tale Digital Storytelling during this hour to demonstrate their involvement with the production of our previews Previews start: 8PM, featuring digital stories from new Canadian students at JD Bracco Bring a blanket or a lawn chair to watch a movie under the stars with an outdoor screening of Up! Family friendly for all ages. The space will accommodate 250 guests and will be open on a first come, first served basis.

Grand Trunk Community Fun Day

Cardio for a Cause
Join the Marketplace at Callingwood to help support Edmonton’s Food Bank with Cardio for a Cause! On September 7, 2019 from 11am-1pm Cardio For a Cause is a fun community fitness event that is taking place in the covered courtyard of the shopping centre! 6655-178 Street. Take part in a fun, energizing ‘cardio-fusion’ class led by local fitness instructors from Generate Fitness! The class will run for 1-hour starting at 11am. All ages and fitness levels welcome. Come enjoy some lively music, body positivity and a great workout, all in support of Edmonton’s Food Bank.

Festival in a Box
Edmonton’s favourite summer arts event is back with a new name – Festival in a Box (formerly known as the Community Arts Picnics). Join the Edmonton Arts Council for a late summer afternoon full of art-making, giant games, live performances, and of course, summer snacks! The fun takes place on Saturday, September 7 at Clareview Community Recreation Centre – 8804 139 avenue from 1:00-4:00 pm. Harvest of the Past
Celebrate Alberta’s agricultural roots with a traditional harvest at the Ukrainian Village. See the Village one last time and witness an old-fashioned threshing bee complete with vintage farm equipment and grain deliveries to the historic elevator. Other historical activities include flower and herb drying, feather stripping, making kapusta (sour cabbage), grinding wheat, quilting, and canning of produce from the museum’s gardens.
