The Haunted Pumpkin Festival at Prairie Gardens Adventure Farm, attracts families from across the nation to Edmonton’s countryside every fall! Walk through Deadmonton with the Lights On
Come on down to Deadmonton in the Daytime on Saturday October 5th from 2 PM to 5 PM and take a walkthrough the haunted house without the scares! Perfect for those who prefer not to be scared but still would like to enjoy the wonders of Deadmonton. The show lights will still be on but there will be no scares. Actors will be present but will not be acting or scaring.
Great White North Pumpkin Weigh Off AND DROP
The midway, petting zoo, farmer’s market, crafts and games and a giant pumpkin drop! Not only can you marvel at the size of the giant pumpkin festival, in between the fun things to see and do, but you’re going to have the chance to bid on one of the pumpkins – imagine bringing one of those home!?
On Saturday, October 5th, you can start the day with a pancake breakfast. After a day full of fun, there’s the giant pumpkin drop. Where else in the province are you going to be able to experience seeing a giant pumpkin dropped from high in the air, and smash on the ground? There are activities all day for families and children, and you can end the day with the giant pumpkin drop!

Fire Station Open House
This weekend, there’s not only one – but two – fire stations that you can explore with the kids. You can meet firefights, climb in a firetruck and learn more about the community fire hall in Callingwood and Jasper Place communities.
