What to do in Edmonton This Weekend (With Kids)
Martin Deerline Day of Play | 17104 118 Avenue
Join us for a day of FREE family fun at Martin Deerline’s Day of Play! Bouncy castles, pedal tractor course, wagon rides and much more!

World’s Largest Swimming Lesson | West Edmonton Mall Waterpark
The World’s Largest half-hour swimming lesson is taking place at West Edmonton Mall this week. It’s your chance to take part in a record breaking swimming lesson, and to get discounted admission to the waterpark afterwards. World Waterpark will be offering a discounted rate of $20 per child (beginning at noon). One parent chaperone is included with each purchased admission.

Teddy Bear Picnic | Jackie Parker Park
Join us for an afternoon of crafts, games, healthy snacks, and Storytime with the Edmonton Public Library. Make sure you bring your swimsuits to enjoy the splash park (dependent on weather).

Southwest Family Fun Day |2717 Terwillegar Way
Join the South West Early Years Coalition and Nathan Ip, your Edmonton Public School Board Trustee, for an afternoon of fun in the sun! Enjoy bouncy castles, BBQ, Kid Activities and learn from local parenting resources and best of all it’s FREE!

Rubber Boots + Bowties Party | Alberta Ave Community Ave
Live music, appetizers, and a cash bar. Sculptures & art on display and for sale, Garden games – boccie ball, ladder golf, croquet and more. Collaborative mural on the garage door. Call for garden installations.

Saturday Morning Boks Fitness Classes for Kids | South Edmonton Common
Every Saturday morning, there are free fitness classes for kids at the Reeebok Store in South Edmonton Common. It’s a free way to get kids active, but you have to register for the classes ahead of time. Created for kids 5-12, younger children can come accompanied with their parents (who are encouraged to participate).
When: Saturday, 9 am
Weiner Dog Races + Family Day at Northlands | Northlands
Take in the adorable Wiener Dog Racing action, along with face painting, games and a bouncy castle for the kids!
When: Saturday, 1-5 pm
Check out the Midway | Sherwood Park Mall
The midway is in town this week, and you can find it at Sherwood Park. Unlimited ride bracelets can be purchased at the ticket counter, for $30. They’re valid from either 3-6 or 6-10, (Sunday 1-5) and can be used for the kids to enjoy the rides at the Midway.

Fire Station Open House | 10949 156 Street
Meet your local community Firefighters and Fire Prevention Officers along with staff from Office of Emergency Management for a FREE Fire Station Open House. Check out the fire trucks and equipment, learn how to be fire safe, and know how to prepare your family in case of an emergency.
When: Saturday, 12-4
Outdoor Movie Night | Ottewell Community Centre
Come watch the Force Awakens outside and enjoy family fun as part of the celebration. It’s a free way to enjoy the outdoors, watching a movie at Sunset (around 10 pm) but there are going to be family friendly events, food and more (like a fun photo booth, giant sized games and food trucks) before the show starts.

Get Wet | Meadows Rec Centre Spray Park
The Spray Park at the Meadows is open now and it’s one of those fun places that you’re going to want to check out this weekend (and return to this summer). The kids loved the bright colors, the simple, but fabulously designed, spray park outside of the Meadows Rec Center.
