What to do in Edmonton This Weekend (With Kids) | June 16-18

There’s plenty to do this weekend with the kids in Edmonton. If you’re searching for an adventure, why not head over to the Aerial Park and head out to the Super Magical Family Fun Day.

Super Magical Family Fun Day | Saturday, 1-4
Bring the kids to meet their favourite famous princesses and superheroes! We’ll have 8 characters ready to wow the kids! Stay tuned to our Facebook page as leading up to the event we’ll be dropping hints for which characters will be joining us. There will be photo opps with the characters, bouncy castles, a circus performance, DJ and dance party, crafts and more! Plus there will be a horse drawn wagon ride in the parking lot for the duration of the event. Don’t forget to dress up for the costume and dance party!

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them | Saturday, 11
Head out to Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them on Saturday morning and it’s only $2.99 a ticket as part of the Cineplex Family Favorites, every Saturday morning.

See a $2.99 Movie | Saturday, 11 am
Watch a movie with the kids, and only pay $2.99 for the ticket. Every Saturday morning at Cineplex movie theatres, there are $2.99 movie screenings – making it cheap and easy to bring the kids to see a movie – and leave a bit of room in the budget to grab snacks from the concession while you’re there. This week, it’s Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find them.

Zoofest | Saturday, 6-10
There are few opportunities in Edmonton where adults can have a first class evening and share that with their children. As always, a live and silent auction will complete our night. Behind the Scenes and Family Experiences will begin one hour before the main gates open.

Captain Underpants  Suphero Storytime | Saturday, 11 am
Join us on Saturday, June 17 at 11am and grab your cape for a Captain Underpants storytime and activity – it’s a fun morning out, and it’s completely free.

Kids Yoga and Movie Night | Saturday, 5-8
Drop-off your child (5+) for a fun night at Oxygen Yoga & Fitness with Tegan Rosato for 1 hour of Yoga, followed by games and a movie. This event will be non-heated.
Please ensure to bring your own food/ snacks as well as your active wear and a pillow and blanket, or something else comfortable for the movie, Non-members pay $30 for first child and $25 for each additional. Members pay $25 for first child and $20 for each additional.

Play Games on a Boat | Saturday, 10-6
Oh Ship! West Edmonton Mall and Extra Life Edmonton present Games on a Boat, a fundraiser in support of the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation and in partnership with Game-A-Lot (www.gamealot.ca). Grab a seat aboard the landmark Santa Maria ship and play games to heal kids. You bring yourself, we provide the board games! If you like, our friendly Game-A-Lot staff will be available to teach you a new game or two. No need to register in advance! Tables will be sat on a first-come, first-served basis for a 1 hour time slot per group. Please come with a monetary donation per person for The Stollery! Food and drinks are allowed on the boat, but we aren’t offering any for purchase.
