What to do in Edmonton this Weekend (with Kids) | February 17-20

The weather is gorgeous and we’ve got a four day weekend. It’s the perfect time to get out and explore everything the city has to offer – from watching a movie in the pool, to another free family movie night – to checking out everything to do in Edmonton on Family Day.

Silver Skate Festival | Hawrelak Park
At the festival, you’ll discover breathtaking snow sculpture, winter sports, and horse-drawn sleighs carrying families through the park. Sit in a Cree Winter Camp and cook bannock over an open fire. Compete in the Winter triathlon or speed skating events. Take in live music and theatrical performances with your friends and loved ones. Our festival activities are as diverse as the people who call our Northern community home.

‘Moana’ Family Movie Night | McLoed Community League
Come and watch a free movie, concession will be available at the show. Hot dogs, Cotton Candy, Popcorn, Beverages. Wear your PJs, bring your pillows and sleeping bags! The Movie with be an pre-release of Disney’s Moana and starts at 6:30 on Friday Night.

Dive in Movie | Fort Saskatchewan
What’s cooler than watching a movie in the pool? Not much. Saturday night just got more exciting with a movie screening of Hotel Transylvania 2, screened in the pool. Movie starts at six o’clock.

Pixar in Concert | Winspear Centre
Edmonton Symphony Orchestra presents Pixar in Concert with a performance of music from fourteen Pixar movies. Everyone has their favourite movie from Pixar and this way you get to experience them all in a multi-media show, designed for families.

Rabbit Hill is proud to host our 6th Annual Family Winter Festival on Saturday, February 18, 2017 from 10am to 3pm.  The day is going to be filled with activities that the whole family can enjoy.  This year we are excited to partner with Second Chance Animal Rescue Society (SCARS).  $1 from every lift ticket sold on the day plus all proceeds from the BBQ and Bake Sale will go to benefit SCARS.
