The Drive in Comes Back to Edmonton #yeg

Silver Spur Drive in is reviving the drive in movie just in time for summer fun. Three movies have been announced for the Edmonton drive in, perfect for those nights when you’re just not sure what you want to do – or those nights when you want to plan an out of the ordinary date night. The schedule was just released on Twitter – and has made the list for a fun (and cheap) double date idea in the future.

The late night movies start at 9:45, and come with a price per car of $30 ($20 on Sundays for date night). I see a double date in our future, kicking it old school with the performance of Ferris Bueller’s Day off.

You know, until this moment I’ve never seen a use for those tailgate seats that switch around in the back of our Flex. Now, I know they’re for backing up into the drive in and having a comfortable and airy place to sit to watch the show.

Though the prices are per car load, you’re welcome to bring chairs or blankets and sit outside of the vehicle. The location of the Edmonton drive in movies is at the North parking lot at Telus Field.
