Microwave popcorn is one of those things that the kids request frequently. That, or cooked on the stove top so they can have an instant movie night. Usually, I have to get out of the popcorn maker and go through the entire process of making popcorn.
Rather than going through the process or making microwaved popcorn bags that are filled with tens of ingredients you’re not entirely sure how to pronounce, you can try this easy popcorn cooking method and never go back.
Paper Bag Popcorn
You’ll need: a paper bag, a microwave, popcorn kernels.
Place 1/4 cup of popcorn kernels in the paper bag and microwave for three minutes. Fold over the top of the bag so it doesn’t touch the top of the microwave, and microwave for up to three minutes, or when the kernels start to stop poppin’ – you know the drill. When the paper bag popcorn is finished, you’ve got a serving of popcorn, in the perfect size, for a couple of children.
Bonus? You’ve just discovered the easiest (and the most cost effective) way to make popcorn for children and your kids.
