South Cooking Lake Trail Days is one of those experiences that you’re going to want to take the kids to, in August. With plenty to do, it’s a perfect way to spend a Saturday with the kids, just outside of the city.
South Cooking Lake Trail Days Activities
Hot Air Balloon Rides | Visit St. Luke School field for hot air balloon ride between 9 and 11 am. It’s the perfect opportunity to view the balloons and get the chance to ride up in the air – and cross a ‘hot air balloon’ off of your bucket list.
Parade (with Candy Toss) | Parades in small towns are some of our favourites because of the candy that’s tossed throughout the parade. Watching the kids gear up in excitement is almost as exciting as grabbing the tossed candy to celebrate the end of the parade! Parade starts at 11 am. Follow the parade to the Lake Park for candy toss.
Pancake Breakfast | Get breakfast (bring a donation) to Fire Station 2 for a pancake breakfast starting at 8 am (and going until 10 am). It’s the perfect way to start off the day, with a belly full of pancakes.
Kid Zone/Lake Park | Starting at noon, there will be activities in the kids zone like pony rides, inflatables, bookmobile, bubble station, Zorb soccer, candy toss, petting zoo, playground, inflatable water slide and much more. Bring your swimsuit!
There are concessions, or you can bring your own snacks and have a picnic at the Lake Park while the kids are enjoying themselves with the activities. For more information visit South Cooking Lake Community League on Facebook.
