Kid-Friendly Edmonton Ice Cream Shops You Have to Try This Summer | 2019
Bubble Cream // POP-UP
The heart of every Bubble Cream cone is a delicious egg waffle, also known as “eggettes” or “gai dan zai” (in Cantonese). According to urban hearsay, the bubble shaped waffle was born in Hong Kong in the 1950s, when a grocery store worker received a poorly packaged shipment of eggs. Instead of throwing the eggs away, the workers had an idea of creating a new and unique snack. The golden-yellow coloured waffle is baked with a crispy shell exterior and a fluffy egg base inside. Watch for pop-ups around the city!
The Ice Cream Shack // 11 Athabascan Ave
Good old fashioned ice cream has a comforting feeling about it on those hot winter days. Scoop n Roll // Three Locations
Try your ice cream rolled, made right before your eyes with fresh fruit flavours and mix-ins. You can choose from fresh cream for the base of the ice cream, and your favourite mix ins, to create a new flavour every single time.

The Italian Centre Shop // 10878 95 Street
One of our favourite things to do on a weekend afternoon is browse through the store, grab some gelato from Spinelli’s and head over to Giovani Caboto park across the street. It’s a delicious way to spend an afternoon or evening, and a bonus, one of the most affordable places to get gelato in Edmonton.
Yeh Frozen Yogurt // west edmonton mall
Have you been craving dole whip ever since you returned from vacation? Yeh! has multiple flavours of Dole Whip for you to get your hot little hands on and the best ice cream in Edmonton (if you count frozen yogurt). If you want a side of fun with your Dole Whip, you can always head into the waterpark, where there’s a Dole stand in there for you to get your fix (and by you, I mean, the kids).
Revolution Ice Cream
Find it at a Farmer’s Market near you! At Revolution, they offer French frozen custard, as well as vegan and dairy-free options which make no compromises. No novelty. No tricks. Just delightful, frozen treats. Prepared by hand in small batches, they take a stand against unpronounceable ingredients, putting in the work to build texture without them.
