Home Depot Kids Workshops are one of my favorite things to do with the kids on a Saturday morning. We let their mom sleep in and head out to build something together, allowing kids the opportunity to use things like hammers and glue.
Their favorite part is building something, and bringing it home – and though it’s chaos at that table, they’re learning those basic skills that they’re going to build on as they get older. Every week, we bring back the apron they got from their first workshop, and add yet another pin to the front.
They’re amassing quite the collection of pins, and they enjoy going to the workshop for some one on one time. We’ve been bringing our kids since they were three, the recommended age for the workshops are 4-12.
July’s workshop features a popular summer release, Despicable Me 3. This month, the kids are going to build a Minion Scooter, that usually involves glue, hammer, and stickers, to celebrate the release of the movie. You can register for the workshop, online, ahead of time or visit your local store.
