Between the drop in playdates, ice cream socials and playground parties in the summer and the fantastic location that’s one of our favourite hidden gems for free playtime, it’s a valuable resource.
Pictured above, is the Children & Youth Community Centre at 3 Spruce Avenue. Drop in playtimes occur through the week, and are a great place to play if you’re searching for a place to play with the kids, or a place to meet other parents.
You can find the drop in schedule (in addition to the many other free drop in play times and locations in Sherwood Park) in the program guide (found here).
It’s refreshing, because an indoor playground with two kids can cost upwards of $15 for admission, $20 for food and then even more if there are tokens involved for the game. Having an option for no-cost play, and drop in activities (available every single day in Sherwood Park) is refreshing.
