Jump on a Life-Sized Monopoly Board| Until October 17
Monopoly is back at McDonald’s and you’ve got even more chances to win. Make sure you download the app, because every time you redeem an offer you’ve got a chance to win a weekly prize of $5,000! Until October 17th the kids (okay, you too) can even take their love of monopoly to a whole new level, popping by a life-size gameboard painted outside of one of the local McDonalds locations. Haunted Pumpkin Festival | October 13-15
The Haunted Pumpkin Festival at Prairie Gardens Adventure Farm, attracts families from across the nation to Edmonton’s countryside every fall! An autumn outing to the pumpkin patch and this charming month-long Halloween festival is an annual tradition. There’s been over 1 million guests to the farm have enjoyed the farm since 1956!
Panda Pottery with 4Cats | Saturday, 12:45
We’ve longed to play with clay at Amplify and we are all fired-up to finally host a pottery making workshop! The good people at 4Cats Arts Studio are bringing their Panda Planter project to our Festival, complete with glazing options. Black and white and the cutest ever, join us to sculpt your own bear-y adorable planter from their low-fire clay. Design your panda’s original look and underglaze, then pick it up in a few days fresh out of the kiln at 4Cats in St. Albert!
Drop in Gymnastics | Sunday Night
Family Open Gym has access to main gymnastics space. When it is available, the Kindergym may be available, check with coach on floor prior to use. Drop in fun gymnastics is a great chance to run off some of that energy that’s pent up before the weekend!
Michaels Kids Club | Saturday, 10 am
Stop by your local Michaels store, Saturdays between 10-12, for activities the kids can complete in the craft room. These events are unparented so you can browse the store while the kids create, or stay and help. It’s $2 per child, with a new theme every week. This week, kids 3 and up can enjoy making a fun photo mobile themed around Disney
Juniors new series Vampirina. Sign up in store or just drop in. Parent or guardian must remain on premises during the event.
PJ Masks Kids Event | Saturday, 11 am
Join us on Saturday, October 14 at 11am in your PJ’s or hero costume and get ready to fight crime with PJ Mask story time and activities.
Makebreak Halloween T-Shirts | Saturday, 1-3
Use colorful paint to decorate t-shirts with Halloween puns. Buy a t-shirt, and the supplies to decorate it will be provided. This is a free activity, all you have to do is buy the t-shirt, or bring the t-shirt with you.
Festival of Witchcraft and Wizardry | Friday, 4-9
Come out and celebrate with local Harry Potter fans. Peruse the market of local vendors selling magical wares and handmade items, and patronize the food trucks selling English style fare like fish and chips, steak and kidney pie, and other gluten-free and vegan options yet to be determined. You can also watch Quidditch practice, take Harry Potter Yoga and just enjoy the festive atmosphere and costumed characters. All ages welcome. Drinks are non-alcoholic and no alcohol will be served at this event.
Spooktacular Acreage | Friday – Sunday
For parents searching for Halloween activities that aren’t too scary for young children, the Spooktacular Acreage is opening this week. For the fourth year running, the Realty Executives event will host over 90 animatronics, inflatables, and even a spooky cemetery.
