The weather outside is gorgeous this weekend, it’s the perfect time to get out there and enjoy some tobogganing, winter hikes and gorgeous trails for soaking up some of that winter sunshine. It’s also a wonderful time of year for the Santa’s Parade of Lights, and a few options to get you in the holiday spirit. Don’t want to start celebrating, just yet? Kids night out, with a twist! The Back Handspring Bonanza Workshop is for children ages 6 to 12 years and is being held on Saturday, November 18th from 6 to 9pm and is open to both The Little Gym members and non-members. Santa’s Parade of Lights! November 18, 2017, 5:30 – 6:30PM at 100 Street to 108 Street, Jasper Avenue.
Come celebrate Christmas with Santa’s Parade of Lights! Watch the magic of Christmas light up Jasper Avenue. Its free, so bundle up tight and enjoy the lights with family and friends. Everyone is welcome!
Minecon Viewing Party | Saturday
Watch MINECON Earth at Microsoft Store!Minecrafters! Join us at Microsoft Store and celebrate your love for all things blocky and brilliant with our official MINECON Earth Viewing Party! As well as broadcasting the show itself, there’ll be prizes, giveaways, costume contests and, of course, plenty of opportunity to play Minecraft itself. Test your elite competitive skills against the best your community has to offer, or collaborate on mighty builds in creative mode – The live broadcast starts at 10AM on Saturday, November 18. Be aware: space is limited! The first 50 attendees in line starting at 9:00AM will receive priority for seating and gaming opportunities.
Santa Brunch | Sunday
Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus are coming back to Londonderry! On Sunday, November 19th from 10:30am to 11:30am, we will be hosting our annual Santa’s Arrival brunch in the Londonderry Food Court.
Winter Green Shack | Saturday, 1-5
Join in games, sports, crafts, music, drama and special events. You’ll find a list of upcoming activities and special events posted on the side of the Green Shack each week. If there’s a game or activity that you’d like to play, just ask the Program Leader.
Cookie Decorating at Southgate Centre | Saturday
For the young and the young-at-heart! Take a break from Christmas shopping and decorate cookies with the Christmas Bureau of Edmonton. You bring your creativity and a donation to the Christmas Bureau and we’ll bring the cookies, icing, and decorations.
Guided Nature Walk at John Janzen | Sunday
Join us as we wander the trails and explore the area around the Nature Centre, visiting with resident animals and viewing what’s in bloom! While the walk is targeted towards an older age group, young children are more than welcome to attend.
