If you’re a little kid, is there anything more excited than a bus ride or taking the LRT? I know it’s our kids favourite part of heading to the hockey game, or big events downtown. This holiday season, you can take that excitement to the next level, and take one of the ETS Holiday Tours where you can see Christmas lights while take a two hour ride.
If you’re bringing children, the tour is not stroller-friendly. In the past, we’ve used a carrier for the baby to avoid tired arms through the two-hour trip, and let the little kids sit on our lap to get a glimpse of the lights through the window, up higher than they could if they’re sitting on their own.
This year, tours will begin at the Alberta Legislature where guests will be able to view the display and listen to the choirs. Next, tours will depart to Candy Cane Lane and return to Churchill Square and City Hall.
It’s a great way to see the various Christmas lights displays around the city, especially if you’re unsure where to go.
Tours take place: December 9, 10, 11, 16, 17 and 18th at 6:00, 6:15 and 6:30 and will depart from the north side of City Hall on 99 Street and 103A Avenue. Tickets can be purchased for $5 each, online via Tix on the Square. Tickets go on sale December 1, 2016.
All proceeds go to the Donate-a-Ride program.
