Do This: Handmade Mugs at 4Cats Art Studio

Handmade mugs are quickly becoming one of my favourite traditions to do with our six year old. With new mugs that come out every season, you can build a sort of new tradition, taking a trip to the 4Cats Studio and creating your mug, by hand, together.

Coming in March, is the bunny mug, where together, you will learn hand building techniques, and glazing, creating something that will be completely different when you pick it up from the studio than from the pieces you began with. It’s a 90 minute session where you’re working together, separately, on a project where you can just chat, reconnect and build something crafty together that you get to take home, and keep forever. It’s one of those things where every time I look at previous sessions’ mugs, like the penguin mug, those six year old giggles come flooding back. We could all use more of that, right?

The fee for the class is $25/person, including all the supplies required for the ninety minute session. Location wise, there are lots of options to find a studio near you, in Edmonton, like: Calgary Trail, Fort Road, Riverbend, Leduc, Sherwood Park, St. Albert and Summerside.

To sign up for the class, you can visit www.4cats.com, but act fast because sessions fill quickly when there is a new mug added to the roster.
