Every year, we drag up the Christmas tree from the basement, assembling the three pieces together early in the season. This year, in a quest to try something new we searched for a local tree farm that would allow us to get the experience of cutting down our own tree.
at Fir Ever Green Tree Farm, located in Wetaskiwin, you can do just that. It’s a lovely, u-cut tree farm outside of Edmonton that’s going to give you that experience of getting your own tree, bringing that tree-fresh scent home.
The U-cut farm is open daily, between 9-5 and there are sleigh rides and hot chocolate on the weekends of December 3 and 4th, and December 10 and 11th.
The costs of the trees vary, but range around $10/foot. Bring cash with you, it’s the easiest way to pay for the trees and the other items you can purchase while you are there.
While you are there, you can also purchase firewood, tree stands, fresh homemade wreaths and handmade novelties – and take advantage of tree wrapping services to make the tree easier to bring home.
