There’s a brand new ride at Galaxyland, just in time for entertaining the kids on Christmas break. This year, the timing works out that the kids are in school almost right up until Christmas Eve, making it easier for parents that want to get those gift wraps while the kids are at school, but harder to entertain the kids once the excitement of the holiday wears down after Christmas day.
This year, finding things to do is going to save your sanity – and let’s face it, many of those activities are going to bring you indoors. Galaxyland at West Edmonton Mall, is one of those things we do at least once a year, letting the kids enjoy the rides, really, spending an hour going on the merry go round, over and over.
For older children (and even adults), there is a brand new ride at Galaxyland. Zero Gravity is a rider-controlled experience that’s sure to thrill all ages. More daring riders can send their seat in to forward and backward spins from start to finish, and those looking for a milder experience will be equally thrilled speeding around the track with their seat locked comfortably in place. Zero Gravity’s eight cars can accommodate up to 16 guests at a time, and reach speeds of 35 mph. All riders must be 48” or taller for their own safety – doesn’t that sound thrilling?
