If you’re planning on having a botox treatment, whether it’s your first time or not, it’s important you carefully choose the right cosmetic clinic.
The luxury aesthetics market is booming right now, there are hundreds of cosmetic clinics in London alone, and hundreds more across the U.K. to choose from.
This has been good great and bad for the industry. You have more options than ever, but you also need to be aware of clinics that do not have a lot of experience with Botox.
Whether you’re looking for a Botox clinic in London or somewhere else in the country, the process is the same. You need to do your due diligence to make sure you’re going to receive the very best treatment.
To help you choose the right clinic that will leave you looking and feeling your best, here are some of the things to consider:
Find independent reviews
The first thing you should do before even considering a botox clinic is to look for reviews. You can’t rely on reviews on a clinic’s website, you’ll need to do some research online for independent reviews.
This is usually easy to do by performing some Google searches. If you’re unable to find any reviews, the clinic might be the best in the country but I’d advise giving them a pass.
There are plenty of excellent Botox clinics with great feedback to choose from, you don’t need to take a chance on a new clinic.
Ask around for a recommendation
Along the same lines as looking for positive reviews, if you can find a clinic that is personally recommended by someone you know that’s a great place to start.
You’ll also get the added benefit of being able to see the clinic’s handy work in person. Just be sure to check that you see the same practitioner that did the treatment someone is recommending.
Book a consultation
You should never go in for a treatment as important as Botox without having a consultation with the practitioner first.
I’m sure you have some questions, and this is the perfect time to ask them. It’s also a great way to meet the person that will be performing the treatment and get a feel for the clinic and some of the other people that work there.
Look for clinics that specialise in Botox
A lot of clinics offer Botox as part of their cosmetic treatments. However, Botox is a specialist treatment, and there is often a difference in quality between clinics that specialise in giving Botox treatments, and those that do not.
Prioritise clinics that clearly specialise in administering Botox over clinics that do not. If you have to travel a bit further, it’s worth it for peace of mind that you’re going to get the best possible treatment.
Make sure they offer post-treatment care
You can tell a lot about how well a clinic treats its clients by the level of post-treatment care they offer. This is particularly important with Botox, as although rare, you can run into some complications.
It’s important to know that you’re in safe hands. Ask about what you can or can’t do after your treatment, as well as what they offer for post-treatment care to ensure everything is going well.
Make sure you’re covered
Bad reactions to Botox are few and far between, but you still need to make sure you’re covered in case of the worst-case scenario.
Check the clinics you’re interested in are adequately insured to cover any potential damages. Don’t feel bad about asking, this is a perfectly normal question and I’m sure they’ve been asked numerous times before.
