When we were bike shopping we visited no less than three stores. Finally, we settled on bikes from the third store. Having a one stop shop, and a place where we could check out a few bikes, find our favorite brands and save a bit off of the expensive costs of bikes would have made the experience much easier.

details + more information
Bike intake 8:00am – 2:00pm. Bike sale from 2:30pm – 4:00pm. Sellers that are bringing their bikes to the event should know that there is $15 fee per bike, if sold, but you can save $5 off of this fee if you show your AMA card.
In addition, there’s a 12.5% consignment fee. With the high rate of people attending the event though, it’s likely that you’re going to be able to sell the bike. 90% of the bikes at the show are sold, and sellers are immediately notified when they do sell.
Tip: There are often large lines at this event. To get the top picks of the bike that you want (highly recommended) you might want to consider becoming a volunteer at the event.
Consider donating your children’s bike that are just sitting in the garage. Children’s bicycles are being collected at the event. Proceeds from the Edmonton and Area bike swap will go to local causes.
