Most toddlers aren’t too fond of the huge, overflowing buckets of water that the bigger kids enjoy. Smaller water features, with close proximity to toddler friendly playgrounds are more their style.

Fulton Spray Park | With features that aren’t too overwhelming for smaller children, and the kid-pleasing sand and water feature, you’re going to find that the little kids enjoy this park because of the mud pies. Plus, it’s easy to get them cleaned off after they’ve finished, with the traditional spray park, right there.

Millwoods Park | Designed with little kids in mind, this spray park is one of the smaller ones in the city, and adjacent to a great toddler playground (one of our favourites).

Remax Spraypark | Making the list because of the soft playground surface, and the fun waterslides at Broadmoor Lake in Sherwood Park, the kids can zoom down, this is also one of the busiest parks in the city. With washrooms on site, it’s easy for parents to get the kids changed to avoid wet swimsuits on the way home.

Jackie Parker | With a fun water play area, the little kids can bring cups and buckets and spend time standing at the table feature, safe from too much splashing water. It’s a great option for toddlers learning to stand assisted, as they’ve got something to hold on to while they’re playing in the water to cool off. Plus, older siblings will be equally as entertained at this park.

Castledowns | This one makes the list because of the great toddler park, adjecent to the spray park. Parents can sit in between the two, while little kids make their way back and forth, between the two. A toddler sized playhouse, a fun climbing structure and smaller-kid friendly features, this playground is just close enough to the spray park to keep the kids cool.
