Adventurous playgrounds are all around the city (and beyond) and are worth checking out now that the weather has warmed up. They’re perfect for kids that want to try something new, climb higher, try a zipline at the Dinosaur Park or climb up and over a wall at Jackie Parker.
Jackie Parker Playground | The climbing wall is one of our favourite parts of this part for bigger kids, but with the space to roam free, climb, jump and run.
Broadmoor Lake Playground | The best, and biggest, slide in the city. It’s an adventure to get up to it that rivals Telus Spark in Calgary. In addition, there’s a great water park to use during the summer months.
Borden Park Playground | Sculptures to hide in and run around, tons of green space to explore and a playground structure that will remind kids of a treehouse, Borden Park is a great playground, full of adventure with two different climbers for kids of different adventure levels.
McConachie Playground | There’s a great zipline in this Dinosaur Playground, that kids are going to love. It’s one of those great playgrounds that is so worth the drive to Leduc.
Spruce Grove Natural Playground | Natural playgrounds, perfect for climbing over and bringing a picnic to, the natural playground a great starter option if you’re searching for an alternative to the ‘traditional’ playgrounds that can be found through the city.
