School of Witchcraft and Wizardry
Come join Let’s Talk Science at the University of Alberta on October 24th, 2015 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. to witness magic unfold in the form of science! From magical plants to explosive demonstrations, see how magic can be achieved with a little help from science. The day will host a series of magic-themed hands-on science activities for children ages 7 – 12 and their families.

Howling Bonfire at John Janzen Nature Centre
Join us in your best costume for our FREE Halloween Howl Bonfire. Go on a haunted scavenger hunt, tell spooky stories, and play ghostly games. Make sure to come dressed up and bring a chair and reusable mug for some hair-raising hot chocolate. All activities will be appropriate for a family audience of ages 2 and above.

The haunted house is suitable for ages 3+. Fun, a bit spooky but not scary for smaller children. Come in costume and enter your name to win prizes. Proceeds from admission will go towards the Gallery at 501 Art Education Programs.

The Mini Monster Bash
Crafts and activities are typically designed for children eight years of age and under, but older children are also welcome. Children will also receive a special glow-in-the-dark bag they can use when they go trick-or-treating, but limited quantities are available, so first come, first served. Children are invited to dress in their mini monster best! Please dress for the weather in case of lineups outside the Pavilion.

Carve Pumpkins at Marketplace in Callingwood
