How do you like your ice cream? Scooped? Now you’ve got the chance to try it rolled from a Scoop N Roll in Edmonton.
There’s a gem hidden away in the Canadian Tire parking lot in Nameo, in Edmonton. Scoop N Roll is an ice cream stand serving up the freshest ice cream in the city, made in front of you and frozen into those signature rolls where the only thing that rivals the taste of the ice cream is the show that you’re going to get while the ice cream is being made and scooped into rolls of delicious, and fun to eat, flavours.
First, you choose the flavour – then, you choose the mix-in. The flavour list includes things like: nutella, vanilla, green tea, coffee, pineapple – something for everyone. The mix-ins that you can add to your delicious creations include: sprinkles, mint chocolate chips, blueberries, oreos, chocolate chips (and the list goes on).
For the cost of $6 per serving (extra mix ins after two are $0.50) the show is worth it alone. If you’re going to take the kids along, try and choose a time when it’s not going to be too busy because there is going to be a bit of a wait because every batch is being made to order. It’s not unheard of to wait between thirty to sixty minutes. Even though there’s a wait, it’s an awesome experience of something that’s new to Edmonton.
Our favorite choice? coffee with almonds. The kids? Nutella with marshmallows.
