A pyjama party under the stars! Wear your cozy pyjamas, bring your pillows, blankets, flashlights and lawnchairs, and sit back to enjoy one of the busiest times in the sky during the annual Perseids Meteor Shower – August 14, 8pm.
Spread out your blanket or your lawn chair and watch the sky without interruption from city lights. While we wait for dark to fall, there will be family fun activities. Our tip for enjoying the show? Bring along something to lay on that’s comfortable and make sure that you’ve applied lots of mosquito repellent, dressed in layers in case the weather cools off.
What’s the price? Garden Season Pass holders and Friends of the Garden members get free admission to this event. Activities are free with regular admission.
In the event of cloudy weather, many event activities will go on, although sky observing may be limited. In the event of rainy weather, the event may be cancelled. Please call or check the website if weather conditions are uncertain.
