Parents in the Mill Woods community, have you checked out the services and programming at the Mill Woods Family Resource Center? From family yoga in the park, to drop in programs, to effective tools needed for parenting (I’ve heard fantastic things about the triple P program), parents can get the tools to improve their parenting techniques, while connecting with other parents and educators in the community.
There are multiple drop-in programs and child programs that can be found in the Summer Guide including everything from music programs and the chance to connect with other parents in the community.
The Toy Lending Library is a hidden gem for local parents. For the membership fee of $5/year, parents and children can borrow toys from the toy library, returning and switching out toys, giving access to play, without breaking the bank. There are toys, dress up clothes, games and more that can be borrowed from the library. The hours of the toy lending library are Tuesdays, 9:15 to 4:00 and Thursdays, 1:15 to 4:00.
Learn more about programming and community services offered on their Facebook page.
