THIS YEAR, CUT YOUR OWN CHRISTMAS TREE NEAR EDMONTON.
There is something magical about visiting a Christmas Tree Farm to find the perfect tree for the holidays. Last year was the first year that we visited a farm to choose our tree, and it was one of those moments that we won’t soon forget; each kid lobbying for a reason to choose their tree until they were able to come up with a tree that they could agree on.
This year, you can visit Fir Ever Green Tree Farm, located outside of Edmonton, to choose your Christmas tree. You can choose your tree, find some holiday magic and even ride a sleigh on the farm (for an added cost of $5 per person).
HOW MUCH DO THE TREES COST?
Trees from the farm range in price between $70 and $220, depending on the height of the tree that you’re looking for. Trees up to six feet in height are $70. Trees between 6-7 feet are $75. Trees between 8-9 feet are $100 and trees 9-10 feet are $130. Trees that are 10-11 feet are $150, and trees that are 11-14 feet range in price between $180 and $220. If you visit during the week, you can save a few dollars – because select trees are only $60 for blue and white spruce.
WHEN CAN YOU VISIT?
The u-choose u-cut will open on Friday, November 22, 2019 and stay open daily from 9-5 until Christmas.
Sleigh rides are scheduled for November 23 and 30th and December 1, 7, 8, 14, and 15th. Please note that the dates are weather dependant. Tickets are $5 per person, and can be purchased at the sleigh loading zone out in the Christmas tree field.
