Take a Family Yoga Class 

Practice yoga together as a family to cherish and nurture your body, mind and spirit. Yoga relieves tension, creates stability, increases balance, increases body awareness, and garners self-acceptance. You will explore various yoga postures, breathing, mindfulness and in fun and playful way to learn and improve together. No other activity can be as useful as family yoga.

Skate with Santa at Lorelei Beaumaris

Our annual Skate with Santa event! Join us for some Hot Cocoa and get out on the ice with Jolly St. Nick! There are extra skates available at the hall on a first come first served basis. This is a free event and everyone is welcome. Bring your holiday cheer!

Hay Rides and Santa Photos 

On Saturday, December 14 from 11am-3pm, the Marketplace at Callingwood invites you to bring the family to meet Santa Claus who’ll be visiting us in the lobby of the Professional Centre, 6650-177 Street. Get your photo taken with him and get it printed instantly.* Then hop on a FREE horse drawn hay ride around the parking lot (pick up point is in front of the Professional Centre doors.)

Make a Gingerbread House at Northgate Centre

Decorate a gingerbread house to take home, and choose from a buffet of colourful candies. gingerbread houses are while supplies last. The best part? It’s FREE. 

Polar Express Pajama Party 

Join us for multiple screenings throughout the month of December! Based on the classic Caldecott medal-winning children’s book written by Chris Van Allsburg, is directed by Oscar® winner Robert Zemeckis and stars two-time Academy Award® winner Tom Hanks. It’s $9.95 to see the movie, and you can even grab breakfast at The Purple Pear.

Merry in Manning

Join us for a FREE family holiday event: the 2nd annual Merry at Manning at Manning Town Centre on Sunday, December 15 between 12pm-3pm! We know the holidays can be hectic so we’re slowing things down to help you focus on what matters most: time with your loved ones. Join us INDOORS for holiday crafts, gourmet treats, hot beverages, and more.

Pop up Winter Horse Ride 

Each class is 90 minutes and set up so that you spend the first 45 minutes in the classroom focusing on safety, fitting a helmet and practising on our non-motorised, mechanical horses. You (or a parent if the rider is under 18) will need to sign waivers and complete some paper work. The next 45 minutes is the riding portion under the direction of the certified riding instructor.

Edmonton Christmas Bird Count 

Local naturalists have continuously held these seasonal counts for over 50 years as part of a world-wide citizen-science project. Information gathered contributes to an immense database managed  and  analysed  by  Bird  Studies  Canada  and the Audubon Society.
