10 Edmonton Kid-Friendly Haunted Houses You can see for FREE This Year | 2019

It’s Halloween and that means checking out all of the spooky houses and spaces in Edmonton! We’ve rounded up some of our favorite places to get scared in Edmonton and area. 

Here’s where to see kid-friendly haunted houses in Edmonton area in 2019

Lakeland Haunted House | October 18 – 31

Back with an all new, indoor, location this year. The Lakeland Haunted house is free with a donation to the food bank. hours will be Mon-Fri 5pm-9pm and Sat-Sun 3pm-9pm. We are hoping that the earlier times on the weekend will help accommodate the ones who might not be as brave at night. One thing that we have not changed is that there will be no live people within the haunted house to do the scaring. Our scares come from decorations, atmosphere and animatronics.

The Spooktacular Acreage | Weekends until After-Halloween

More than 90+ inflatables and a spooky cemetery can be found at the Spooktacular Acreage. Donations are welcome at this initiative by Realty Execs, in the form of an unwrapped toy or donation to the food brink, but you can bring money to donate if you wish. It’s located outside the city, and worth a visit!

Summerside Haunted House | October 21, 22, 23

Looking for a good scare? Look no further and put on your bravest face! Please bring a candy donation for Grande Blvd residents and/or Food Bank donation for the Edmonton Food Bank. There are both lights on and lights off experiences available.

Haunted Pumpkin Festival at Prairie Gardens | October 25-26

The weekend before Halloween, kids in their costumes get free admission to Prairie Gardens, and the fun halloween attractions there – including a haunted house that’s not too scary for younger kids.

Garden of Lost Souls | October 27, 28, 29, 31

This all ages display is versatile, there’s a low scare haunt put on by kids under 15 and a high scare for people with the interest in adrenalin rush. Find it at: 7119 135a ave.

Rutherford Manner Haunt | October 24 – November 1

Though not created for small children, children are admitted into this free haunted house. There’s a special lights-on session during one of the afternoons for families that want to take in the scare, without the lights out factor – find the Lights on event on October 27.

Colchester Scare | October 25, 26 

A night of fun and scares where the community hall is converted into a haunted house! Both upstairs and downstairs – complete with lights, sounds and live actors! You might even get your photo taken during the event! Watch out those ghouls are trixy this time of year.

Sterling Haunted Showhome | October 31

The second annual haunted show home is comin’ in hot. They will be collecting donations for the Make a Wish Foundation for entrance. We will be open 2 nights this year! From 3pm – 5pm there will be no actors in the haunted house so if you want to come for the kid friendly portion this would be the best time to come. Parent descression advised. From 5pm to 11pm there will be actors inside to add that extra depth or horror.
