Join us Saturday & Sunday January 12 & 13, 2019 and embrace the cold northern climate by enjoying artistic panache and authentic cultural and heritage winter games and fun.
This year, Saturday will be Ukrainian Cultural Day and Sunday will be Francophone Cultural Day, with Indigenous performances all weekend long. After the fireworks on Saturday evening, several Festival Stages will feature special WORLD MUSIC performances until 10 pm.

Lake Louise Ice Magic Festival | Jan 16-27
Set in the spectacular surroundings of Lake Louise, the Ice Magic Festival is a world-class ice carving event. Watch as talented ice artists from around the world skillfully combine gruelling physicality with precision artistry in the ice carving competition, January 16-18, or marvel at the finished sculptures over the following nine days. It’s free to attend Ice Magic Monday-Friday and on the weekends before 10 a.m. or after 5:30 p.m – or, head down to see the sculptures and skate on the lake after the festival has finished, for a low key and low-crowd experience.
