Body Worlds: Animal Inside Out Opens Today at Telus World of Science

The new feature exhibit at Telus World of Science Edmonton (TWOSE) opened up today, and it is awesome – you’re going to want to make plans to explore it with your kids.

Explore the intricate biology, zoology and physiology of the world’s most spectacular creatures, large and small in this fascinating new exhibition by BODY WORLDS creator, anatomist Dr. Gunther von Hagens.

CAUTION FOR SENSITIVE VIEWERS — this exhibition contains real human and animal specimens, which explain the various systems of the body, including the reproductive system.
I brought my 1, 3, and 5 year old to the exhibit, and they loved it, but use your own discretion. A second member of our team brought a 2, 6 and 9 year old and it was also accepted very well, with an incredible amout of curiousity. There were a few moments where the six year old questioned about the animals, and where they came from – so the below information was helpful.
No animal was harmed or killed for this exhibition. Animal specimens in ANIMAL INSIDE OUT are made possible through cooperation with various veterinary programs, zoos, animal groups and private donations. 
While we were visiting one of our kids had remarked, “Wouldn’t it be weird if there was a people version of this?”
How much does it cost? We have an annual membership at Telus World of science membership and the fee is $6 for adults, and $3 for children. Without an annual membership the cost ranges between $19.99 – $39.99 for admission. Tickets can be easily purchased online for a specific time slot, and would make an incredible experience gift for the holidays!
