All is Bright on 124th | November 10, 2018
The businesses of 124 Street invite you to our annual light up festival on Saturday, November 10 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. This unique event celebrates the winter season by bringing light to our community. This year we’re moving from 124 Street’s South Pole to the North Pole at 108 Avenue! The festival is free to attend and everyone is welcome!

Stony Plain Christmas Light Up | November 15, 2018
You know the festive season has arrived when it is time for the annual Christmas Light Up in Stony Plain! Each year, residents gather in historic downtown Stony Plain to launch the Christmas season with this magical event in what is a genuine celebration of community. Downtown comes alive with the lighting of the Town’s holiday lights, including the beautiful Christmas tree set in the centre of 50 Street, as carolers sing traditional Christmas songs and Santa Claus makes his first appearance of the season. Residents stay warm by sipping on hot chocolate and feasting on hotdogs or burgers prepared by the Stony Plain Kinsmen Club.

Strathcona County Celebration of Lights | November 17, 2018
The festivities take place from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and include an opportunity for a picture with Santa and Mrs. Claus. This year’s activities include sleigh rides, live reindeer, a petting zoo, cookie decorating, hot chocolate, holiday crafts, inflatable fun and more. At 5 p.m. the community countdown will begin and the magic of the season will come alive with the lighting of our digital tree and decorations outside the Community Centre.

Snowflake Festival Light Up | November 23, 2018
As we light up the Perron District with the warm glow of Christmas lights, you and your family can admire the live ice sculpture display, take a ride in a horses drawn wagon, mingle at the petting zoo, and soak in other unique entertainment and displays in this winter wonderland. Santa and his elves will be waiting in Santa’s Village to greet the children of our community and spread Christmas cheer. You can even get a head start on your Christmas shopping while sipping hot cocoa or coffee. You’ll be so warm with joy you’ll forget winter is here.

Christmas in Central Park | November 24, 2018
Residents are invited to bundle up and enjoy Christmas in Central Park on Saturday, Nov. 24, as the park magically transforms into a winter wonderland. Enjoy holiday crafts, a visit from Santa, fireworks and the City’s popular “light up” ceremony when more than 150,000 Christmas lights bring Central Park to life. This event is free to attend. Non-perishable food donations, unwrapped gifts, gift cards and monetary donations will be accepted for the Kinette Club’s Christmas hamper program.

Brighten up Beaumont | November 30, 2018
Kick-off the holiday season with Beaumont’s annual Christmas event! In addition to various activities, Santa and Mrs. Claus along with few reindeer will drop by to visit! Join us Friday evening in the High School atrium and outside in Four Seasons Park and drink hot chocolate, decorate cookies, get pictures with Santa, visit with Mrs. Claus, ride the sleighs through the park and warm up by the fire while you enjoy live entertainment. Fireworks over Don Sparrow Lake will cap off this festive event.
