In May, there’s a brand new exhibit coming to Calgary Zoo that you’re going to want to see first – after all, it’s been thirty years since there have been pandas at the zoo. Adult pandas Er Shun and Da Mao will call the Calgary Zoo home for five years, and cubs Jia Panpan and Jia Yueyue will stay for 18 months.
Here’s what the Zoo has to say:
Panda Passage is set to open in May. During their time in Calgary, the giant pandas will stay at Panda Passage, an exclusive, newly constructed habitat that promises to be a unique experience where you can discover so much about these charming and elusive animals.
If you just can’t wait, you can always become a member of the Calgary Zoo – the annual membership pays for itself in two visits for our family, so it’s worth it for the few times a year we travel to Calgary and visit the zoo. It also comes with perks like being the first to meet the Pandas during a VIP preview, this spring.
