Telus World of Science is a hub for Halloween entertainment for kids in Edmonton. There are Halloween themed events and things to experience at the science stage, in the lab and even in the iMax. If you’re celebrating Halloween at Telus World of Science, here’s what you can expect:
Monster Mash-up Movie Marathon |
Maybe they inspired nightmares and kept you up at night, or maybe they made your skin crawl with an unspoken thrill — either way, these cult-horror classics left an impression. Join them Thursday, October 26, through Sunday, October 29, as they settle in for a scary movie marathon on the giant screen!
Scary Crafts in the Science Garage | October 28 – 29
Join us in the Workshop at The Science Garage all weekend as we create scary Halloween props!
Paper Pumpkin Lanterns – 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Saturday, October 28, & 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 29, 2017
Witches Straw Brooms – 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 28 & 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 29, 2017
Witness an Eyeball Dissection | October 28-29
Get hands-on with spine-chilling organ dissections! Facilitated by staff scientists, you’ll see eyeball dissections and get a crash-course in biology to learn about how the eyeball functions.
Meet a Tarantula | October 28 – 29
Meet our creepiest, crawliest animal ambassadors! It’s not every day you get to come face-to-face with a real, live tarantula. Our staff scientists will introduce you to Itsy, our Chaco Golden Knee tarantula, &/or Shalob, our Chilean Rose Hair tarantula. Learn all about these misunderstood critters and what makes them so fascinating!
Exploding Pumpkins | October 28 – 29
Things are bound to get more than a little messy with exploding pumpkins, glowing pumpkins, smashing pumpkins, oozing pumpkins and launching pumpkins… We dare you not to have a screaming good time!
Hotel Transylvania Pajama Party in the Imax | October 28
When monsters want to get away from it all, they go to Count Dracula’s (Adam Sandler) Hotel Transylvania, a lavish resort where they can be themselves without humans around to bother them. On one special weekend, Dracula invites creatures like the Invisible Man, the Mummy and others to celebrate the 118th birthday of his daughter, Mavis (Selena Gomez). However, an unforeseen complication unfolds when an ordinary human unwittingly crashes the party and falls in love with Mavis. (sold out!)
