There’s something magical about hot chocolate with sprinkles on top. The new mint-white-hot-chocolate was a hit with our crowd on a windy afternoon in Edmonton and worked well to warm us up after a walk through the River Valley.
Let Eat Snow
Let Eat Snow is one of the many Korean Bingsoo shops popping up around the city, and can be found on 34th Street in South Edmonton. A cute little shop, hidden away in a strip mall, it’s where kids hot chocolate dreams are made of (as long as they enjoy peppermint) and where waffles come topped with so much whipped cream and chocolate that your hands are bound to get sticky.
There’s also Bingsoo on the menu, Korean shaved ice if you’re not freezing from a walk outdoors. The oreo is our go-to flavour, when we’re in the mood for something cold. But the waffles? We’ll stick to the waffles. For a couple of hot chocolates, and an order of waffles, it was under twenty bucks.
The hot chocolates were generous in size, read: huge, and one was more than enough for two kids to share. The waffles, you might want to order two, because under all of those delicious toppings there is one waffle – and that waffle will disappear quickly if you’ve got a couple of kids eating it.
