There’s plenty to do during the day with kids who aren’t yet in preschool, like at Mosaic Montessori, in Edmonton and area. From drop in gymnastics to library programs, fun free programs at the mall and the many festivals, it’s easy to find things to do in Edmonton when you’re trying to get out of the house with kids.
Drop in Gymnastics for preschool kids provides a place to run, jump, play and develop those coordination skills that are so essential in childhood.
Salto Gymnastics is one of our favourite places to hang out during these Edmonton drop in gymnastics for preschoolers because of the giant foam pit, and trampoline and jump to get into it, and the big rope for them to play on. To finish up the drop in session, there’s a finishing song encouraging the kids to jump, clap and shake (that’s a big highlight and helps to encourage our kids to leave easier than giving a five minute warning).
There’s also a great set-up for preschool hanging, jumping and climbing on a small playground set-up that’s perfect for children as young as four, but still entertaining for children up to five. In addition, there are small toys, hoops and other fun things for the kids to engage in, scattered throughout the gym.
What’s the cost? To go to drop in preschool gymnastics, it’s $8 the first time and $6 every other time you go. The initial $2 extra is for a gymnastics membership, and it’s an affordable way to get out of the house – especially during the winter months.
Visit Salto Gymnastics in Sherwood Park on Tuesdays and Fridays between 11-12:30 at 2025 Oak Street.
