Kids Run Wild is a FUN outdoor adventure program for kids and parents to learn map reading skills while improving fitness, agility and self-confidence. Children of all fitness levels will enjoy the tailored time spent outside, to get kids back where they should be – running around in nature.
There are two locations in Edmonton for the program: East Edmonton (primarily Gold Bar Park) Tuesday evenings and West Central Edmonton Thursday afternoon & evening sessions available. Pre-registration for the program is required, you can do that at the www.kidsrunwild.ca.
What types of activities will kids experience as part of the kids run wild program? Treasure hunts, flash beep, orienteering and birds eye view – using an air photo and running along the course to match up where you are, using pins on the photo, are just a few of the activities that kids will take part in.
The Kids Run Wild program begins the week of April 4th. The fees for registration include 8 weekly sessions, BBQ Finale Saturday May 28th & Family membership for Edmonton Overlanders Orienteering Club.
