When you’ve had one of those weeks, the last thing you want to do is head to the grocery store with kids in tow to grab groceries for the weekend and the extras like kids Tylenol. There are plenty of grocery pick-up and delivery services in Edmonton, but lately, we’ve been using (and loving) the grocery delivery services from Save on Foods.
Ordering System | The ordering system is easy to use and far superior than the Superstore, online click and collect grocery pick-up service. You can flip through the current flyer, clicking on things within it to bring up the product details, or search products by name, to add to the order.
Quality | When we made our second order, I included a watermelon. At the door, it was an item that wasn’t included in the order, because as the delivery driver let us know – the quality wasn’t up to par. We’ve received questionable items like produce in the past from similar services, so this was refreshing.
Service | Friendly service to our door, a ‘thank-you’ chocolate bar in the bags that we ordered, and the option to recycle the bags that the groceries arrived in, if we would rather not have to do it ourselves – the service that we’ve enjoyed as part of the grocery delivery in Edmonton is top notch.
Tip: Look for the weekly ‘Darryl’s Deals’ for big savings, delivered to your door.
Delivery Options | Order before ten o’clock in the evening and get your grocery order delivered as early as 8 am the next day. For your first delivery, the $7.95 is waived, and we received a code for $10 off of $40, and another waived delivery, for our next order. For regular delivery, depending on the time of day, fees are between $3.95 and $7.95, well worth the convenience.
For delivery to our home, in Sherwood Park, it wasn’t offered through our local store. Instead, we chose the Calgary Trail Save on Foods location, that offered delivery to our area.
