Wednesday was one of those nights where dinner failed. You know how you watch the videos online for a recipe, and it just doesn’t work when you try it yourself. Yeah, that happened.
It turned out okay in the end though, because it gave us the chance to head out to Love Pizza for Dinner, to give one of the newest pizza places in Edmonton a chance, and try out the five dollar kids meals.
Kids Cut: $5, one pizza, drink, wiki sticks and pizzelle cookies. Kids can choose any toppings they want (even if it’s just cheese like our kids chose) and have a fast and easy meal.
We ordered a beer, a grizzly paw soda, two kids meals and three pizzas to sample and try them out, intending to bring home leftovers for the next day. Price? Just over $60. Not bad for dinner + a ton of leftovers, right?
Pizzas we tried: Meatatarian, Ode to Ukraine and The Q!
The Q was perfect, the combination of the pulled chicken, mild and sweet chipotle sauce and caramelized onions was one of those pizzas you knew was just going to be better the next day.
The Meatatarian was one of those classic choices, but with a delicious kick. The crispy pieces of ground beef and combination of delicious meats made it one of those pizzas you know you’re going to crave in the future.
The Ode to Ukraine was good, and a different addition to the pizzas that we usually order. I loved the savoury flavours, and garnish. We can’t wait to make our way through the menu and try something new, next time around.
