Drive in movies are back at St. Albert Centre and it’s one of those pinnacle events of the summer. Load up the kids into the car and bring snacks (or buy snacks on site) and take advantage of a fun, drive-in movie to celebrate summer (and hopefully sunny weather) in Edmonton area.
What’s playing at the drive in?
August 16: Wonder Park
August 23: How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World
Parking for the drive in movie opens at 5pm, and kids activities in the kids zone take place between 6-9 pm. Admission is only $10/car and there is usually a kids zone with additional entertainment, so bring a little bit of cash to entertain the kids.
The movie begins at dusk, around 9:15, and you can access the drive in movie via the down ramp on Bellerose Drive.
How can you get the best spot for the drive in movie?
To get the best spot, get there early. We like to park the car and get a good spot, and bring the kids to have dinner before heading back to the kids zone and enjoying the activities, until the movie is about to begin. By this point, the kids are tired and they are ready to head back to the car, get cozy in the blankets we’ve brought along, and enjoy the movie. We’ve not seen either of these movies, so we’re excited to head to the St. Albert drive in for 2019.
Details for the drive in movies can be found on the St. Albert Centre Facebook page – stay tuned for upcoming events throughout the summer.
All proceeds from the drive-in movie nights will be donated to the International Children’s Festival.
