We’ve been a glitter free family since the incident early this year when I arrived home and the entire house was covered in glitter. It’s a wonderful, wonderful thing to do with the kids – but sometimes, you just don’t have the patience. Sometimes, you need to leave the crafts with the experts.
In this situation, Michaels stores is the experts. Every Saturday morning, at the store, there are Halloween crafts for kids, between ten and noon.
You are able to leave the kids in the craft room, getting a bit of help from the experts where necessary (we started leaving at age 3) – and it always helps when they’ve got an older sibling to help boss them around but the crafts are short, and here are a few upcoming crafts for Halloween.
October 10 – Make a Perler Frankenstein
October 17 – Make a tic tac toe
October 24 – Make a Pet Spider
October 31 – Make a trick or treat bag
The cost for the classes are $2, to cover the supplies and you can either stop by the store beforehand to register for the craft, or stop by on the day of to see if there’s any room. We like to register to ensure that popular classes are going to have room.
To learn if your local store is participating in these crafts (most stores are), you can find a Michaels location and call the store to confirm that they are holding Halloween Kids Club craft times for Edmonton kids.
