10 Things You Should do This Christmas at West Edmonton Mall

The holidays are here – and with it comes the magic of visiting with Santa Claus, children adding items to their wish lists of things they would like to see under the Christmas tree and even experiencing the magic of snow, indoors! 

Here’s how to spend the Holidays with West Edmonton Mall 

Watch the Magic of an Indoor Snowstorm 

Until December 22, you can visit the dancing fountains at the top of the hour between 2pm and 8pm to experience an indoor snowstorm to remember. Don’t forget to capture the video or photo and use the hashtag #WEMsnow to enter to win a World Waterpark Winter Experience. 

Use the MyWEM Rewards App to Turn Your Holiday Receipts into Gifts of Fun passes 

Shop for the things on your holiday list, and get rewarded with gift of fun passes that you can keep for a fun family day out, or gift as an experience. Visit the FAO Schwarz Pop-Up

The iconic toy retailer has come to Canada, just in time for the holidays. Visit the pop-up shop at Hudson’s Bay, from now until Christmas for a classic toy experience.

Experience a Free Holiday Workshop 

There are free, fun and creative holiday craft workshops until December 18, 2018. Kids and families can enjoy crafts (on the free!) and create something to take home with them.

Search for Roaming Elves 

There will be holiday elves roaming the mall, spreading holiday cheer on Thursday afternoons between 4pm and 7pm. See how many elves you can find roaming the mall! 

Skip the Line Santa Photos

New this year! You can donate five dollars to Santas Anonymous and skip the line and come aboard the North Pole Express with a designated time slot for photos with Santa. Spend your time where it matters, making magic happen! 

Visit the Animals of the Pop-up Petting Zoo 

Located near the whale through the season, you can visit the animals from Finnegan’s Farms at the petting zoo pop-up in the mall on weekends between noon to 6pm. It’s one of our kids favourite ways to wind down after a bit of shopping at the mall. 

Play in the Tiny Gingerbread Village

Near Winners/Homesense, you’ll find a lovely tiny gingerbread village; the perfect place to take a break from shopping or find somewhere (FREE!) to play while you’re exploring the mall during the holidays.

Celebrate New Year’s Eve at the Family Beach Ball 

Escape the cold and celebrate New Year’s Eve with the kids at the World Waterpark. It’s a family-friendly celebration with entertainment, food and indoor fireworks show that delights kids, year and year again. Buy your tickets early to save!
