Enjoy two weekends of Ice on Whyte this year, January 26th to 29th and February 5th and 7th. An affordable family event, tickets are only $20 for the entire family, and include a host of free activities to take part in while you’re there.
Slide down an Ice Slide | Slide down the iconic ice slide, and make those winter memories to last a lifetime. While you’re there, take part in the Rec Room Ice Slide races, to add a bit of excitement to your experience. Maybe you’ll win a prize.
Paint a Tile for a Mural | Take part in the tile painting event for a mural that will be displayed in Strathcona County. Register for the event, here.
Taste Bison Stew | What better place to try something new than a festival? I don’t know about you, but as long as we’re outside of our own dining room, the kids are more willing to try something new. This year? Try Bison Stew, or stop by during the Farmer’s Market and try something delicious, there.
Stop by the Craft Tent | What better souvenir of Ice on Whyte than something that the kids have hand-made? Stop by the craft tent in the Kids area to create a craft that can be brought home.
Get Lost in the Snow Maze | Check out the kids area and walk through a snow maze. It’s like a corn maze, where you’re going to want to wear your snow pants. We’re excited, it’s the first time we’re going to go through a snow maze!
Stop by the Atco Photo Booth | Capture the memories made at Ice on Whyte, with a quick stop by the Atco Photo booth. Who knows what kind of fun you’ll find while you’re there.
Learn to Ice Carve | Through the Lil Chippers program in the Igloo, kids can have their hand at ice carving. Easily one of the coolest things we’ve ever taken part in, it’s something that our seven year old still talks about.
Learn about a National Park | To celebrate Canada’s 150th, you can learn a bit about the National Parks and explore something new, without even leaving the city.
Visit the CTV Entertainment Tent | From a barn dance to meeting Snow Queens, there’s always something happening throughout the festival at the tent. Check the schedule online, or stop by to see what’s going on when you visit the festival.
Fire & Ice Show | Experience the finale of Ice on Whyte with a Fire and Ice Show, Singalong and celebration, wrapping up another year of exciting festivities. Event will take place Sunday, February 5th between 7-8 pm.
