Browsing through the Telus World of Science gift shop, after we checked out the Science Garage earlier this week, we found some awesome stuff. In case you were still searching for a bit of inspiration for under the Christmas tree, you might just want to check out one of your favourite places to play.
Here are some of the cool things we found:
The Twizmo is found in the gift shop of Beyond the Rubiks cube (among so much other cool stuff you’ll find in there to play with) but everything else is in the shop in the main area, meaning that you won’t even have to pay admission to check it out.
One of my favourite things is the Buddha board, that comes with a paintbrush and a stand that holds water. You use the water to paint on the board, and it turns black (dark, dark black). As it dries, it fades away to nothing, and you’re left with a blank canvas to start all over again. It’s one of the coolest things I’ve seen this year.
My other favourite? The Tenzi Game. Everyone in the game gets ten dice, and starts rolling. The first person to get their dice to all of the same number is the winner. It’s a fast and easy game to play, making for a fun quick (and pre bedtime) activity.
Kids fell in love with the Magformers as part of the Science Garage display? They’ve got those too!
Have you visited the gift shop? What was your favourite find?
