What if you could sit at the desk of Santa, in his suite at Fairmont Hotel Macdonald, write him a letter, and leave it on the bed for him when he returns from a busy day of visiting with boys and girls in Edmonton? Wouldn’t that be a wonderful addition to your holiday magic?
We have confirmed today that Santa has reserved the hotel’s 8th floor Queen Elizabeth II Suite as his official home-away-from-Pole this holiday season.
The Big Guy is extending an open invitation to local families and hotel guests to visit his lavishly-appointed “Santa Suite,” free of charge, starting December 12th. The Fairmont Hotel Macdonald Santa Suite will be open to the public during select times, Dec. 12 – 23, when Santa isn’t using it for top-level meetings with local toy purveyors or catching up on some much-needed yuletide rest. As Santa’s calendar is always subject to change, would-be visitors are encouraged to confirm reservations, before leaving home.
Confirmed, at this point, Monday – Friday, from 4-7 pm, and Saturday – Sunday, from 2 – 7 pm, when Santa will be away from his room, so it is available for families to visit.
Recently leaked for 2016 was Santa’s VIP Santa Suite guest list which included Santa’s reindeer and the original Christmas Elves, fellow legendary figures Mother Nature, Father Time, The Easter Bunny, Cupid, The Sandman and The Tooth Fairy.
There’ll be self-guided tours of the Santa Suite, a letter-writing station for leaving holiday wish lists, Santa’s elves will assist with photo moments on your own devices, and a little treat for all those on the “nice list.”
Guests who post or tweet a photo of their Santa Suite visit using the hashtag #MACFestive will automatically be entered to win a number of prizes for our 12 days of Christmas contest, including a weekend stay on our newly renovated Fairmont Gold..
