There’s something exciting happening on the Wetaskiwin Recreation Grounds this year. On August 27th, there’s the Splash Festival, A water fight with 50,000 water balloons, slip and slide fun, water gun fights and so much more to do to spend the day getting wet.
Gates open at 10 am, and the main water fight begins at 3 pm, with enough time when you’re finished to grab something to eat from one of the vendors on site. Bringing little kids? Don’t worry, there are designated ‘dry zones’ for parents, or kids that don’t want to get wet. Have little kids? There’s a child-friendly water fight beginning at 1:30, for children aged ten and under.
You can bring your own water gun to the event, but the designated dry areas must be respected and must be traditional water guns, without modifications.
What do you get with your ticket?
• Entrance to the main waterfight/kids waterfight
• Entrance to Manluk Centre for the day
• Entrance to the Kids Area (Toddler Area included)
• Entrance to Slip n Slide, Sling Shot and Hydroblaster
Tickets for SPLASH! Wetaskiwin are $15 at the event, and $10 in advance. Proceeds from the event will be donated to Jumpstart. Tickets can be purchased at the Wetaskiwin Visitor Information Centre, the Manluk Centre, the Wetaskiwin Canadian Tire or online through Eventbrite.
