Mill Creek Ravine has plenty to explore with the kids. It’s an easy trail that’s going to entertain the kids from just a few minutes in, and will have you feeling like you’ve left the city for much of it (like many of the trails on the River Valley in Edmonton). From plenty of easy trails, bridges and a quick walk to Ritchie Market, to the fact that the kids can climb, jump and explore over logs, at creek sides and plenty more – it’s one of our go to spots when we are searching for places to get outside, with the kids.
Is the trail stroller friendly? You could make it through the trail with a good jogging stroller in the summer. On the trail, there are a variety of bridges and trails to explore, from bike trails to single track and lots of places to stop and play, it’s one of our go-to trails little kids in Edmonton because they’re able to easily make it out to the third bridge, and back, before they’ve walked too far.
Where to Park: The easiest kid-friendly access is the trail on 93 Street and 78 Ave (near Shamrock Curling Club). Stroller-friendly trail (in the summer) Skip the stroller in the winter! There are a variety of bridges and trails to explore, from bike trails to single track and lots of places to stop and play, it’s one of our go-to trails with kids in Edmonton.
