Twenty bucks is enough for a couple of buckets of balls at Victoria Driving range – enough to bring the kids to swing at some balls, and get the basics down of swinging the clubs. A large bucket of balls is $9, an extra large bucket of balls is $11, and there are drinks available on-site, but if you bring your own it’s going to leave more money in the budget to head out for dinner when you’re finished hitting balls.
There are 61 stalls for the driving range available. Going in the evening, we’re usually able to find 2 or 3 together, giving us enough space for the kids and us to hit balls at the same time, reducing the need to wait for the other person to finish. I like the shaded area, with the picnic tables close by where the kids can stop, take a break or simply wait their turn while one of us is teaching them how to swing the club.
Rental clubs are available, but it’s always easier (and less expensive) if you bring your own. There are snacks and drinks available on site and lessons can be booked and planned in advance if you’re unsure of what you’re doing on the range.
